Public School Choice

Supplemental Educational Services (SES)

The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act of 2001 provides expanded options for parents of children attending buildings identified for Title I.A School Improvement. The options include School Choice for schools in Level 1 School Improvement. Schools in Level 2 Improvement have the options of School Choice and SES.
Public School Choice

The Midway R-I School District has one building in Title I School Improvement for the 2011-2012 school year, Midway Elementary.  We have a single attendance  center (no other elementary school with the same grade span); therefore, we cannot offer the School Choice option.

Supplemental Educational Services

Under the Federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB), this option of after-school tutoring by an approved provider is available to parents of eligible children that attend a Title I school in School Improvement Level 2, and every year thereafter the building is in School Improvement status.  For more information, please contact Dr. Fred Pellerito, Federal Programs Coordinator, at 816-250-2994 (extension 203).
