Winter Concert

The annual Winter Band Concert was December 7th. Mr. Smith said, “It was really awesome.” The night kicked off with the fifth grade band. They played 3 songs; Hot Crossed Buns, Merrily We Roll Along, and Good King Wenceslas. The sixth graders also played an ensemble consisting of Botany Bay, Molly Malone, and Turkish March. The seventh grade band performed Angels We Have Heard and Up On the Housetop. The next performance was the Intermediate Guitar class who had played Carol of the Bells very excellently. There was also a band, consisting of Zach Rogers, Kevin Mcafoos, Tyler Aipperspach, and Chris Drechsel, who played Carousel and went by the name of Noise Tsunami. Then there was the faculty band that played The Christmas Song, along with a few high school students; Kyle Battin, Ben Madison, Darla Brown, and Zach Rogers. They also played their last song, Feliz Navidad, with the high school band. The faculty band consisted of Troy Jordan, Mrs. Southard, Mr. Gray, Mrs. Dahman, Coach Chamberlin, Mrs. Eberle, and Mr. Smith. The high school band then played Christmas Pageant Overture and Feliz Navidad. The closing performance was Soundwave, with Wake Me Up, sung by Jacob Puckett. White Christmas was sung by Darla Brown, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun was sung by a trio of Kinsey Blevins, Chrissy Thomas, and Ciara Battin.
