Girls Archie Tournament

On January 22, the Midway Varsity Girls played Rich Hill in the first round of the Archie Tournament. The Midway girls won 52 to 47. Leading in rebounds were Makenna Irvin and Alicia Mendoza with 8 and 9 respectively. Brielee Hewitt and Makenna Irvin lead in scoring with 15 points each; Bailey Dean followed with 12 points. The girls will play again on Thursday, Jan 25 at 4:30.

The Midway girls basketball team played the Butler girls basketball team on Thursday, Jan 25. The score was Midway 44 and Butler 52. The highest scorer for the Midway girls was Makenna Irvin with 19 points. The Midway girls play again for 3rd place on Saturday, Jan 27 at 2:30.

Bailey Dean was clutch from the free throw line making 13 out of 18 for the night.

On Saturday, January 27, the Midway Lady Vikings traveled to Archie to play Metro for third place in the Archie Tournament. It was a nail biter the whole game and the Lady Vikings fought hard, but ended up losing 41 - 45. The top scorers were MaKenna Irvin with 24 points and Brielee Hewitt with 7. MaKenna Irvin and Morgan Irvin had got the most rebounds, MaKenna had 13 and Morgan had 5.
