    Elementary Classroom Teacher

    Library Media Specialist  
    Midway R-I School District is seeking a dedicated full-time Library Media Specialist for the 2023-2024 academic school year. The Library Media Specialist will be responsible for handling general librarian duties, including managing the day-to-day matters of the school's library. Required Qualifications: Missouri Certification in Library Media Services, Grades K-12 Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Basic understanding of data networks and use of technology resources including Internet searching and database usage. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of video production and multimedia presentations. Knowledge of technology applications for instruction and troubleshooting.

    High School English Language Arts 10-12
    Midway R-I is seeking a High School English Language Arts Teacher for the 2022-23 school year. JOB TITLE: High School English Teacher Position Summary: Provides instruction to students in the area of English. Specifically, assist students with core English courses and possibly courses that relate to literature, writing, and grammar. REPORTS TO: Principal EXAMPLE (S) of WORK PERFORMED: Instructs students about the structure and content of the English language, including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Assigns books and essays for students to read and teaches them how to identify themes, points of view, and other characteristics. Helps students interpret literature and poetry. Demonstrates appropriate long and short-term preparation for classroom instruction. Holds high expectations for all students and sees themselves as facilitators of student learning. Organizes and uses a variety of teaching techniques, strategies, materials, and technology to maximize the learning of each child, individually and in-group settings. Assess student progress, provides students and parents with specific feedback, and uses the results to adjust instruction as needed. Provides opportunities for academic support and challenge. Takes responsibility for teaching the district curriculum as outlined in the curriculum documents. Establishes clear objectives for all lesson units and projects and communicates these objectives to students.

    Special Education K-12
    MIDWAY R-I SCHOOL DISTRIC IS LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited school in a related field Must have a Missouri certification in special education Experience in providing educational services to children and/or adolescents who have educational disabilities or learning difficulties. Ability to use computer and web-based programs consistently, including Google Suite The special education teacher evaluates a student's academic issues as they pertain to select school subjects and provides instruction to improve upon deficit areas. The special education teacher provides direct or consult IEP minutes to students in accordance with their IEP goals and present level of performance. He/she will write and update the Individual Educational Plans and complete quarterly progress reports. Must feel comfortable taking charge in new situations, working independently, and supervising paraprofessionals. Must be able to respond to work requests very quickly via email or phone. RESPONSIBILITIES: To provide a professional assessment of each child's weaknesses and strengths as they relate to school subjects and/or educational diagnosis. Assess both the child and family expectations of treatment, assist the family in reaching realistic goals for treatment and to help meet their goals. Provide appropriate treatment based upon a child's academic assessment and track progress toward the student's goals. To maintain an online web-based account for progress towards goals following each tutoring session. Maintain contact with classroom teachers and others involved with the student to ensure coordinated treatment efforts. Provide direct and consult services to students in accordance with their IEP's. As required, update students' IEPs including present level of performance, appropriate measurable goals, and progress towards goals. Attend IEP meetings, staff meetings, and trainings as requested by the partner school. Communicate with parents, staff, and other individuals involved with the students as deemed necessary. Any other duties as specified by the supervisor.

    High School Science 7-12
